At The Beauty Therapy Room we offer our clients three types of body treaments: Danné Body Treatments, Body Exfoliation Treatment and G5 Treatment.

NB: An initial consultation is required for all Danné Body Treatments and G5 Treatments due to the nature of the treatment, please see below for more details .

Consultations include complete skin assessment and medical history review as well as any required patch tests.

Treatments are not included in consultation and must be booked and paid for separately.

Any necessary aftercare products will be prescribed and sold separately and they are not included in the price of the consultation.

Danné Body Treatments

Regardless of your ethnic background, gender, age or skin condition, Danné Montague-King offers you an effective skin revision program. With over 40 years of irrefutable results in 30 different countries around the world there is no denying the impact that Danné has had in the paramedical arena. Danné Montague-King claims that the origin of any skin condition is disharmony in the natural way the skin functions. Therefore the Danné concept is simply about restoring balance and enhancing optimal skin function. The Danné concept comprises of four key components: Remove, Rebuild, Protect & Maintain.

Remove the dead skin cell build-up, which leads to the appearance of dry skin, fine lines and skin discoloration.
Rebuild the remaining living cells by providing proteins, amino acids and nutrients. This enables the cells to stay alive longer and perform optimally for healthier, younger looking skin.
Protect the skin from the sun, free radicals, glycosylation and other environmental factors that lead to premature ageing.

Danné home prescriptives are modified versions of the professional treatments and must be used on a daily basis for progressive results. These are not included in the treatment cost and must be purchased at the time of the first treatment. Any other product used in combination with Danné formulas, no matter how innocuous, will negate effects of the treatment. Sun Damaged Skin

It’s believed that 80-90% of aging is caused by the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays. The ultraviolet rays penetrate the skin down to the cellular level and cause incessant damage, resulting in premature fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation not to mention cancer.

Treatments: DANNÉ Melanoplex System is designed to reverse the effects of sun damaged thickened, pigmented, and uneven skins.

Pro Alpha Six Layer Peel: A superior resurfacing procedure, designed for those who want a dramatic result with minimal downtime (approximately 14 days).

This professionally applied formulation removes dead skin cells, pigmentation and aids in the natural development of collagen. These treatments are considered to have an effect similar to laser resurfacing or a medical peel without the risk of trauma, long convalescence or possible contra-indications.

This epidermal peeling procedure uses an exclusive blend of Alpha Hydroxy and Beta Hydroxy Acids and is applied systematically in layers. The strength of the formulation is adjusted by the DANNÉ technician to suit your individual skin colour, texture sensitivity and specific skin concern.

Cellulite

It is apparent that 80-90 % of women suffer from cellulite, categorised as visibly uneven skin tone. Cellulite is caused by many factors such as genetics, hormones, hypothyroidism and a lack of exercise – pertaining to poor blood and lymphatic circulation. However the main cause of cellulite is weakened connective tissue.

Treatments: DANNÉ Cellulite Treatments combine DANNÉ Body Sculpting and DANNÉ Body Enzyme in a series of treatments designed to strengthen weakened tissue and increase blood and lymphatic flow. This leads to improved circulation which in turn repairs the cellular skin structure and reflects the firmness on the surface.

Body Sculpting: Body sculpting crème is a fast acting cream that emits a pseudo heat to alleviate and reduce the characteristics of cellulite. It is designed to help re-shape and sculpt the body.

Body Enzyme: DANNÉ Body Enzyme masque is a specific blend of transfer messenger enzymes. They work to increase the circulatory and lymphatic system and result in a supreme formation of nutrients and oxygen within the skin. Body enzyme masque stimulates cellular enzyme functions enhancing metabolism and skin firming.

Stretch Mark treatment

It’s believed that 90% of women will have some form of stretch marks throughout pregnancy. Rapid weight gain and loss are also common causes of stretch marks in both men and women.

Women who are overweight have more oestrogen being produced in the fatty tissue. Estrogen stimulates the fibroblast cell to release collagenase (an enzyme that dissolves collagen), hence why overweight people are more prone to stretch marks and cellulite.

Treatments:

Stretch Marks Revision: To initiate a healing response within the skin, excess scar tissue must be first removed. Alkaline Wash is used to revise the old tissue before rebuilding the new skin cells that lay beneath.

The use of DANNÉ home prescriptives is vital while undergoing stretch mark resurfacing treatments. DANNÉ retosin a vitamin A derivative is essential to prepare the skin and regulate the cell renewal rate.

DANNÉ efa+ contain essential fatty acids to restore and regulate hormone levels, are also necessary. Direct delivery vitamin c serum is also recommended to stimulate collagen production, ‘even-out’ skin tone and fight against free radical attack.

Body Exfoliation Treatment

Body treatments are essentially a facial for your whole body and leave your skin feeling velvety smooth and soft. The idea behind a body treatment is that is just as important to cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin on your body as it is the skin of your face.

The most popular body treatment is a body scrub, sometimes called a body polish, salt glow or sea-salt scrub. This is an exfoliating treatment that can take place in the salon.The therapist treats the whole body with a mixture of sea salt, oil, and aromatics like lemon. This exfoliates the skin and leaves it feeling velvety soft. This procedure takes maybe ten or fifteen minutes, then it is showered all off without soap. It’s an invigorating treatment.

Our skin is our largest organ. It protects us from the elements and it is the first line of defence against dozens of things that we come into contact with on a daily basis. As such, skin needs some tender loving care from time to time. The skin regularly grows new skin cells and sheds dead skin cells. Unlike snakes, we do not simply slither out of our dead skin on a regular basis and sneak away with brand new, glowing skin. Instead, we have to exfoliate. Exfoliation removes dead skin and dirt, keeping your skin cleaner and healthier. Regular exfoliation can create glowing, smooth skin, but if you exfoliate too much, your skin can be damaged. The frequency of exfoliation recommended depends on a number of factors, including what you exfoliate with, your skin type, and your general skin health.

Exfoliating daily is a practice that can improve the appearance of the skin. Exfoliating works by increasing the rate at which dead skin cells are shed from the surface of the skin. This shedding of dead cells is a natural process but slows with age, and is sometimes too slow in people prone to acne and breakouts. Exfoliating daily can maintain improvements in skin appearance and reduce the occurrence of breakouts.

It is an excellent pre-holiday treatment or as a skin refreshener at the onset of summer. It can also be beneficial prior to hospital treatment.

G5 Treatment

This massage incorporates the use of a professional G5 mechanical Massager which vibrates vigorously to stimulate deep blood flow and circulation. The G5 will break down stubborn fat in the thighs, bottom and stomach and will reduce the appearance of cellulite. You will leave feeling slimmer, toned and much suppler.

G5 Massage is a mechanical massager that goes much deeper than the therapist can. Different heads are used to mimic different massage techniques.

G5 is excellent for toning, increasing circulation and to aid in the breakdown of fatty deposits and cellulite. Particularly good for back, shoulders, thighs, hips, buttocks and stomach. This treatment is ideal as a pre-holiday body toner. As well as body sculpting, G5 is excellent for sports related muscular aches and pain. G5 delivers more power to help:
