- Courses of the Holistic Treatments can be tailored to suit every person’s needs.
- They are usually discussed and organised by the Holistic Therapist during the consultation.
- There are a set of 5 sessions with ONE FREE session. The Courses need to be paid in advance and NO CREDIT in given.
- Consultations are VERY important and essential to establish every person’s needs and for the therapist to perform a complete assessment of the skin, the medical history as well as any required patch tests.
- The consultations are NOT inclusive with the treatments and NON-refundable against any treatments.
- 48 Hours notice is required if appointments need to be rescheduled or cancelled. Failing to the therapists ample notice, a cancellation or no show fee £15 will apply.
- 50% Deposit is mandatory to secure the bookings for any treatments over 30 minutes time.

Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy Massage is also called Prenatal Massage. It is a technique involving deep bodywork designed to improve your circulation, take some of the strain off your muscles and joints, and generally re-energize you.
Pregnancy or Prenatal Massage shares many of the goals of regular massage – to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and just make you feel good. But it’s also tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies, and therapists who are trained in prenatal massage adjust their techniques accordingly.
How do you lie on the table?
Most women find it uncomfortable to lie face down right from the start of pregnancy because of their tender, swollen breasts. And you can’t lie face down on a traditional massage table once your belly has started to grow. On the other hand, it’s not a good idea to lie flat on your back either, particularly once you’re past mid-pregnancy, because the weight of your uterus puts too much pressure on the vein that returns blood from your legs to your heart.
For these reasons, some prenatal massage therapists use a special table or pad with hollowed-out areas and special pillows to accommodate
your belly, and often your breasts as well, so you can lie face down. If you find this position stresses your lower back, or if only a traditional massage table is available, you can lie on your side with pillows, wedges, or a full-length body pillow for support.
How can prenatal massage help me?
The therapeutic benefits of massage for pregnant women haven’t been studied very much. There’s some evidence that massage may help people who suffer from low back pain and possibly those with chronic headaches, but the studies weren’t done with pregnant women. In any case, massage may decrease stress and promote relaxation, helping you cope with discomfort even if it doesn’t specifically alleviate or prevent it.
Carrying a baby inside you changes your centre of gravity and puts a lot of stress on your back, neck, abdominal muscles, and shoulders. Pregnancy also relaxes your ligaments, so that your pelvic joints are less stable, and changes your posture, pulling your pelvis forward. Add to that the extra weight you’re carrying and you may find you’ve got an aching lower back.
A trained prenatal massage therapist knows where a pregnant woman’s sore spots are likely to be and may be able to provide some relief. (She’ll also know which areas and techniques to avoid.) Still, it’s important to communicate with her and tell her where you need attention. Let
her know right away if anything during the massage – including your positioning – is causing you any discomfort.

Holistic Massage

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a term used to describe bodywork which goes below superficial connective tissue with the intent of breaking up old structural patterns and allowing the free flow of nutrients and oxygen in the blood. Deep tissue Massage requires that the therapist applies a considerable amount of pressure which in some cases may cause some discomfort.
Benefits of Deep Tissue Massage
- Reduces pain.
- Increases range of motion of limbs by restoring mobility.
- Relaxes and sooth muscles.
- Breaks up scar tissue due to injury.
- Aids muscles to stay flexible
Who may benefit from Deep Tissue Massage?
- Athletes (weekend athletes as well).
- Individuals with chronic joint or muscle injuries.
- Individuals that perform repetitive work that causes considerable strain on muscles and joints.
- Individuals who suffer from stress.
Deep Tissue Massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots (also known as “adhesions.”)
Will a Deep Tissue Massage hurt?
It shouldn’t hurt, but it’s likely to be a bit more uncomfortable than a classic Swedish massage. You should always feel free to speak up if the pressure is too much for you. It’s important to drink a lot of water after a deep tissue massage to help flush lactic acid out of the tissues. If you don’t, you might be sore the next day.
It’s possible that you might feel some soreness the day after a deep tissue massage even if you DO drink water. This just means a lot of waste products were flushed out of the tissues. It should pass within a day or so.
How fast will I get results with a Deep Tissue Massage?
It’s important to be realistic about what one deep tissue massage can achieve. Many people ask for more pressure, thinking that if the therapist just pushes hard enough, they can get rid of all their knots in an hour. This just won’t happen. In fact, undoing chronic knots and tension built up over a lifetime is best achieved with an integrated program that includes exercise, work on your posture and ways of moving, relaxation techniques and a regular program of massage.
Finally, while deep tissue is certainly valuable, you should be aware that just one session of deep tissue massage will not solve your problem especially if there are underlying factors to your discomfort. Therefore you need to discuss it with your therapist and may be book a course of sessions at a weekly or fortnightly intervals to reap all the benefits from a deep tissue massage.

Reflexology
Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body. Reflexologists work holistically with their clients and aim to work alongside allopathic healthcare to promote better health for their clients.
Reflexology is a therapy which can be received by anyone at any age, from newborn babies to those receiving end of life care, and everyone in between. However, there may occasionally be times when it is not suitable to provide a treatment.
Professional reflexologists do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe. Reflexology is a very individual treatment which works with you holistically, so it is not possible to know in advance how you will react. The theory is that reflexology helps the body to restore its balance naturally. Usually, after a treatment your tension may be reduced and you might feel relaxed. You might also notice yourself sleeping better and find your mood and sense of wellbeing improving. You may also find that other aspects improve too; however, this happens on an individual basis. With ever increasing levels of stress in everyday life, it is important for people to take more responsibility for their own healthcare needs. Reflexology may be one of the ways to mitigate the stresses of modern life. Reflexology should not be used as an alternative to seeking medical advice.
What happens when I go for a treatment?
Reflexology is a very easy therapy to receive; depending on the type of reflexology, the most clothing that will have to be removed for a treatment to take place will be your socks and shoes. A full medical history will be requested on your first treatment, and you will be asked to sign a consent form for treatment. This information will be kept confidential. The therapist will then use their hands to apply pressure to the feet, lower leg, hands, ears or face, depending on the type of reflexology chosen. You may feel areas of transient discomfort during the treatment, but generally the experience should be relaxing. The therapist may recommend a course of treatments.
How will I feel after a reflexology treatment?
After one or two treatments your body may respond in a very noticeable way. Most people note a sense of well-being and relaxation; however, sometimes people report feeling lethargic, nauseous or tearful, but this is usually transitory and reflexologists believe that it is part of the healing process. It is useful to give feedback to the reflexologist as this may show the response of your body to treatment. This in turn might help the reflexologist to tailor a treatment plan specific to your needs.
